Prof. Dr. Michael Braungart is professor at Leuphana University Lüneburg (DE), founder of EPEA International Environmental Research in Hamburg (DE), the institute behind Cradle to Cradle, co-founder of McDonough Braungart Design Chemistry in Charlottesville (Virginia, USA) and founder and scientific director of the Hamburg Environmental Institute (DE). Braungart has been pioneering the Cradle to Cradle design concept for decades. He has worked with many organizations and companies in various industries and developed tools for designing eco-effective products, business models and intelligent material pooling. For his work, Michael Braungart was awarded, among others, with the Golden Flower of Rheydt, Germany's oldest environmental protection award, in 2019.

Sabine is a trained banker, after her two years at Sal. Oppenheim, she decided to switch businesses and studied film at the University of Cologne. During those years, she gained first experience in journalism by writing for daily newspapers and lifestyle magazines and her fascination for fashion and the industry became stronger. In 2002, she reached her Master’s degree, the same year she started as editorial trainee for Textilwirtschaft in Frankfurt. Soon, she moved on to become editor at sister publication SPORTSWEAR INTERNATIONAL. In 2006, she became executive editor and followed the call into SI’s head office in Milan. In 2009, the head office of SI was transferred to Frankfurt and gave her the opportunity to take over the position as Editor-in-Chief that she holds ever since.
Pauline van Dongen

Pauline van Dongen is a Dutch fashion designer and researcher specialised in wearable technology. Her design studio, founded in 2010, is dedicated to collaborative, cross-disciplinary work, characterized by material explorations with an emphasis on embodied experience. In 2019, she was the first fashion designer in the Netherlands to obtain a PhD degree.

Karin Schmitz started her career as fashion designer and illustrator. As consultant she developed color and trend concepts for fashion companies in Germany, Austria and Denmark for more than 15 years. Since 1997 she is part of the Peclers Paris Team and since 2011 representing the trend agency as business development director for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Her passion is supporting companies from different sectors - fashion, interior and beauty in their development of new creative concepts and products.

After her successful design studies, Gabriele Orsech was working in Germany and abroad. She managed her own womenswear label, for 12 years she was the artistic director at the AMD Akademie Mode & Design in Düsseldorf. Later she took over the management of the academy. In 2009 she founded the Design Department / Academy for Fashion and Communication Düsseldorf. She is managing the academy, is working as a lecturer in the fields of fashion design and cultural history. She is curating numerous exhibitions and is Creative Director of the Forecasting Publications Next Look, Textile Report and Color Essence.

Gina Gulberti is the VP Digital Marketing at Launchmetrics, where she leads the digital marketing strategy dedicated to Fashion, Luxury and Beauty industries, present in several markets. Previously, Gina led social media and communications at Infoempleo and was also part of the marketing team at Eltenedor.es, a Tripadvisor company. In her spare time, she is an active member of the educational programs at prestigious business schools such as IED, ISEM Fashion Business and previously IE.

Ariane Piper focuses on dialogue, design and education in sustainable fashion. She looks at the topics knowledge transfer, consumption and possibilities for action from different perspectives. She works as a project manager for Green Fashion Tours, as a freelance speaker, as a multiplier for FEMNET e.V. and for the association future fashion forward. She has been working as country coordinator for Fashion Revolution Germany since 2016. She lives and works in Berlin.

Tilmann Wroebel is a German fashion designer with experience in Parisian haute couture, as a streetwear pioneer and as a denim enthusiast. In 2007 he co-founded Studio Monsieur-T, a consultancy specializing in denim and based in France. International denim clients (trade fairs, manufacturers, brands) turn to Monsieur-T for the communication and design of the upcoming denim collections.
Marta is a Co-Founder of iKLEID - an experience platform that not only is trying to solve the problem of fashion overconsumption but also aims to activate new concepts and abilities to experiment how to better use clothes. She is also a Consultant and Researcher in the field of FashionTech and Sustainability with almost two decades of extensive worldwide experiences in Creative Direction including exposure to fashion shows, photo shoots and production management. Her research and professional experience in the fashion and technology industries shape her approach to sustainability.

Panos Sofianos is a Blue Industry Greensider and the Denim Curator at BLUEZONE. He started as a coordinating product manager at a Greek jeans manufacturing company in the early 80’s. And since then, he worked with a number of historic brands such as: UFO Jeans, Diesel, Replay, Americanino, Lee Cooper – to name but a few. Then he moved on to Research & Development working for some distinguished denim mills in Europe. His collaboration with BLUEZONE started in 2016 as the new business manager and curator of the show.

Lucie Germser is the creative mind behind various denim and fashion brands, trade shows and factories. She is the Head of Design at Sphynx and the Denim Consultancy Monsieur-T. Besides, she creates the image of BLUEZONE: logos, seasonal visuals, trend zones and some seminar concepts.

Tricia is a well-known advocate for innovation and sustainability in the textile and apparel industry. Twenty years ago, Tricia joined Courtalds Fibers NY to develop the marketing plan for a brand-new fiber called TENCEL. Today, Tricia directs the Global Business Development team for US apparel brands and retailers, with a special interest in advancing more sustainable apparel development from fiber to consumer use.

Marina Toeters operates on the cutting edge of technology and fashion design. Through her business by-wire.net, she stimulates collaboration between the fashion industry and technical innovators for a relevant fashion system and supportive garments for everyday use. She advises Philips Research, Holst Centre, fashion designers and others on product development. As a teacher, coach and researcher, she works for the University of the Arts Utrecht (HKU) and Eindhoven University of Technology. In 2019, Marina edited the book Unfolding Fashion Tech: Pioneers of Bright Futures and opened the Fashion Tech Farm, a studio, incubator and small-scale production facility for innovative fashion in one.

Ralf Schneider is responsible for the Handling, Machining, Processing business unit at the robotics and automation specialist KUKA and looks back on over 30 years of professional experience in the field of robotics. After studying mechanical engineering at the Ruhr University in Bochum and starting his career in robot offline programming, he joined Reis Robotics in Obernburg, Franconia. There he was branch manager of the Spanish subsidiary from 1993 to 2006 and from 2006 to 2014 he worked in international sales. After Reis Robotics became part of the KUKA Group in 2014, Ralf Schneider initially worked as Head of Competence Center Technology Solutions and assumed the position of Global Head of Business Unit Handling, Machining, Processing in 2019.
Dr. Rolf Heimann

In his almost 30-year career as a pioneer in the field of textile ecology, Rolf Heimann developed, among other things, environmentally friendly and biodegradable colour systems and coatings for textiles and led a consulting company for the ecological optimisation of textiles. After more than 12 years as head of the Corporate Responsibility department at hessnatur, Rolf Heimann was given the task of founding the hessnatur Foundation at the end of 2014. As a board member, the expert for applied sustainability now manages the foundation's business both strategically and operationally.
Dr. Thomas Fischer
DEPUTY HEAD OF MANAGEMENT RESEARCH, GERMAN INSTITUTES FOR TEXTILE AND FIBER RESEARCH
Dr. Thomas Fischer is Deputy Head of Management Research at the German Institutes for Textile and Fiber Research in Denkendorf. He is working on Textile 4.0, i.e. the digitalisation of textile value creation, and the resulting questions regarding innovation, production, learning, business models and sustainability. Further focal points of his work are knowledge-based systems, Big Data and AI in production and product development. Mr. Fischer studied technical cybernetics (Dipl.-Ing.) at the University of Stuttgart and received his doctorate in an EU project on cross-company innovation management.

Stylianee is the Founding President of Fashion Revolution Luxembourg and a Sustainable Fashion and Responsible Communications Consultant. Currently she is doing research on how Immigration and Fashion are interconnected. She has been animating Upcycling workshops, and organising sold-out events around the theme of sustainability in fashion for the past 5 years. She is experimenting with conscious design concepts through her brand What.Eve.Wears.

Communications and strategy consultant Alex Vogt sees the complex of innovation management and corporate responsibility as an essential prerequisite of future-orientated business thinking. He initially studied politics and history at the Goethe University Frankfurt and then came into contact with the sportswear and fashion industry through the surf and skateboard scene, going on to gain an MBA specialising in the textile industry at the private LDT Nagold Academy for Fashion Management. This day Alex Vogt is a partner within London and Frankfurt-based communications consultancy KERN and devotes his full attention to the topics of innovation and CR. Alex Vogt lives and works in Frankfurt am Main. When he’s not there, he is most probably seeking new inspiration in far-flung corners of the world.

Jana Kern is a graduate textile and clothing engineer, journalist and communications and strategy consultant. Together with her business partner Alex Vogt, she manages the KERN company in Frankfurt am Main and London. KERN's main focus and connecting link in its work is corporate responsibility in the fashion industry. A topic to which Jana Kern has devoted herself intensively for over ten years and with which she has quickly established herself as an expert. After her studies at the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences in Mönchengladbach, Jana Kern was business editor at the trade journal TextilWirtschaft for over six years. Fashion trade and sustainability in the textile and clothing industry were already then among her areas of expertise.
