Since late 60s, only 10 textile shops were opened in Sham Shui Po, Hong Kong. As the industry develops, the number of textile shops increased to over 1000 thus far, with annual turnover at over HK$10 billion. Established in 1978, Hong Kong and Kowloon Textile Fabrics Wholesalers Association (HKTFA) is stepping into its 40th year, with over 1000 members recruited currently. The pavilion is a deliverable of a project titled “To illustrate technical strengths of Hong Kong fabric suppliers to potential overseas buyers”, which is funded by the SME Development Fund of the Trade and Industry Department of HKSAR.
