The modern COLLECTIONS section features a wide range of fashion on three exhibition floors. For everyone interested in trends, everything from woven and knit fabrics made from wool, cotton, silk, satin and functional fabrics from all genres in the fashion industry can be found here. For those wanting to go a step further, newer fibers such as bamboo, polylactide (man-made material from so-called polylactic acid) or lactic fiber is featured. For visitors and exhibitors whose main interest is focused on outdoor, sport, and functional clothing - the“Function and Design” section exhibits a state-of-the-art textile system with high-tech coating for activewear.

MUNICHFABRICSTART Additionals

Trims and accessories form the second main focus of the fair trade. What are the future trends? What is the most promising perceived value? What is possible? Who is offering what? Detailed solutions to these questions and the latest news are offered by some 200 leading entrepreneurs spread across two exhibition halls. Here in this area you will find the latest and future trends of buttons, decorative stones and trims, lace, also ribbons, fasteners, and labels. In addition, the latest development in lining fabrics, embroidery, shoulder pads/padding and complete solutions for labeling and branding are presented.

MUNICHFABRICSTART BLUEZONE

The BLUEZONE is a unique concept which is dedicated and reserved exclusively for the Denim and Sportswear sections. Located in a separate exhibition hall, only 500 meters from the M,O,C,, leading international manufacturers of denim, street and sportswear fabrics, present their collections to interested buyers from retail and industry, as well as to media representatives.
Moreover, brand new pattern pieces are an inspiration for future design and styling. Over 50 leading international weavers, denim-washers, and finishers capture the scene with information about the latest washings, and mechanical processing. Inclusive in the entire range of products are anything from futuristic coatings and premium quality luxury denim to vintage looks, lavish ornamentations with feathers, rhinestones, and prints.

New since AUTUMN.WINTER 11/12: Extension of the trade fair to two days, longer opening hours, and a brand new high-quality stand system. For SPRING.SUMMER 2012 we introduced „Tomorros is Today“, in short „TisT“. Here, selected exhibitors present not only this season’s trends – but also initial ideas and developments for the next season. AUTUMN.WINTER 12/13 features a GREENZONE, which provides an overview of ecologically oriented and sustainably produced denim items.

The ASIA SALON is one of the most exciting new additions to the trade fair. Manufacturers from Asia present a compact overview of an entire range of Asian fabrics and trims in Atrium 3. The comprehensive exhibit ranges anywhere from high-tech systems for outerwear, program trends for lingerie, and fashion to sportswear on the web, as well as knitwear.

New since AUTUMN.WINTER 12/13 is a specially defined ASIA ACCESSORIES area featuring selected exhibitors.

Established as independent exhibition format in the firstFLOOR, DESIGN STUDIOS is the creative platform of MUNICH FABRIC START that provides progressive ideas and individual design solutions for the industry. International textile designers and trend offices present their fabric designs and latest developments in dedicated showrooms. Thus, another creative dimension is opened for the visitor’s design process that complements the framework of the international fabric trade fair MUNICH FABRIC START.
