Innovations and inspirations: From 1 to 3 September 2015 MUNICH FABRIC START kicked off the new season autumn.winter 16/17 for the fashion and garment industry with three successful trade fair days
This time the focus was on textile innovations, novel material blends and fabrics feeding on technological developments. Designers and buyers of internationally established brands came to Munich to browse the portfolio comprising 1,600 collections from both power-house and innovative brands in the customary both productive and inspiring setting. With almost 1000 exhibitors the trade fair registered a renewed increase on suppliers’ and the same high visitor attendance (19,700 guests) as in the previous year. BLUEZONE also experienced two well-attended trade fair days offering the denim and sportswear community creativity galore with a strong portfolio of 80 brands at the unique Zenith Hall. New material compositions were also a key theme here next to super performance qualities.
With a stronger than ever brand line-up MUNICH FABRIC START will be kicking off the Autumn.Winter 16/17 season. From 1 to 3 September 2015, for the first time now, nearly 1,000 suppliers from 36 countries will be presenting an extended range of fabrics and findings in Munich.
The some 1,600 collections feature the latest fabric innovations and findings developments for the most important segments of the fashion industry. There will be new exhibitors in nearly every area of the fair, among them are such renowned new entries as Cotonificio Albini, Bernini, Lanificio Morganti Brunetto, Stamperia di Martinengo, Alibi, Panoco, Pizval and Secondo Stefano Pavese (FABRICS) as well as Conti Wej and Bottonificio Fenili (ADDITIONALS).
With some 80 international denim weaving mills and finishing and laundry operations the BLUEZONE, located in the nearby Zenith Hall, also boasts a very strong line-up. Presented for the first time here are collections from Prosperity Textile, Kuroki, Azgard Nine, Advance Denim and Intex.
In the newly opened Atrium 2 a line-up of suppliers from Taiwan will supplement the ASIA SALON, which will stage a total of some 150 producers from the Far East showcasing their product innovations. There is a further extension to the Additionals section at organicselection. This sourcing platform for sustainable textiles and findings now features lace, braids and motifs using GOTS-certified cotton – for the first time.
With this constant positive development and targeted line-up of its portfolio the exhibition’s organisers are very optimistic about three inspiring and productive trade fair days.
VIEW Premium Selection has once more gained strong appeal for internationally established brands. The latest preview textile fair by MUNICH FABRIC START proved its importance for the fashion and textile industry as season’s opener for Autumn.Winter 16/17 on 14 and 15 July in Munich.
The first important trends and developments in new fabrics and colours were shown in more than 300 international pre-collections for fabrics, additionals as well as denim & sportswear. VIEW posted 22 newcomers in total, including famous brands from the Italian Marzotto Group as well as new exhibitors from England, Portugal and Japan. This portfolio attracted a high quality range of visitors. The names attending included purchasing teams and designers from internationally renowned brands such as Lagerfeld, Wunderkind, Escada, Hugo Boss, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, Baldessarini, Strellson, Cinque, Lala Berlin or Liu Jo next to teams of the upscale German clothing industry from Laurèl, Riani, René Lezard, Marc Cain, Schumacher, Strenesse, Comma and MAC besides Drykorn, Alberto, Marc O’ Polo to name but a few. Apart from the high visitor attendance across the board, their length of stay has also increased markedly. Buyers and designers of internationally renowned brands from Europe used both trade fair days for browsing the initial collection innovations and highlights. Visitor’s attendance was substantially up by 19 % over the previous year.
