valupa develops sustainable and circular supplies such as buckles, buttons, rings and other accessories locally from 100% renewable raw materials . In January 2023, the startup registered its first patent for a new type of modular buckle system.
Soft tones like Banana Yellow, Cool Matcha, and Light Lilac dominate, with sportive influences of Neon Orange and Hot Magenta. Subtle decorative elements replace traditional rhinestones for a touch of glamour. The trend of (imitation) leather patching continues to be relevant.
Colours are generally more natural, such as shades of brown, camel or black. For this season, the emphasis is on gilding, muted colours with the exception of a few bolder ones. Patterns are classic, vintage and futuristic with floral, geometric and organic prints.
Nature meets man-made materials. Upcycling or the use of fabric scraps, offcuts and ingredients from previous collections are another big theme.
A team of young fashion designers has realised a great upcycling project in the last few weeks: they have sewn unique bags from former trade fair materials such as flags, various trade fair banners and carpet left overs from the MFS, giving the materials a meaningful purpose.

In its own Nature Tech Lab, the Munich-based company develops high-performance fabrics based on bamboo viscose (at least 50 %).
SAAT means “together” in the Indian language and “that which arises from the seed sown” in the German language. Thus, SAAT’s fashion is a harmonious interplay of different factors that always creates something new.
This is what fashion is all about right now: taking people on a journey through time to phases of our lives and theirs when we, and everyone around us, were so much more carefree than we are today.
At the same time, they are eager to explore avenues for improving the customer journey, sustainability aspects, sourcing or design. It entails broadening their scope of responsibilities and possibilities.
Automation, sustainability and local production will fundamentally change the textile industry over the next five years.
